Addendum...

I forgot to mention in my journal yesterday that I decided to go ahead and have the back porch roof redone. It's expensive ($1100) but I think it's worth it. I also decided today to have the hot tub repaired. It also was more costly than I hoped but not unreasonable (when the part costs $85 it can't help but be costly).
