I am sooooo done with this house buying process but unfortunately, it's not over. The mortgage company needs a letter detailing the money my parents have gifted me. Fine, we expected that. Then she needed a specific format. Ok, we expected that too. Only she waited until Wednesday night to send it to me. My parents left for Boise on Wednesday morning. AND, she needed it right away. The money has to be transferred into my account from my parent's account but unfortunately, the money is in a different bank. So, In BOISE, my parents had to find a Wells Fargo and figure out how to transfer the money from Wells Fargo to Selco, then mom had to get online and transfer the money to my account. Then they had to find a Fax. Unfortunately, the fax number they were given was an e-fax and Selco, who offered their fax machine, couldn't send to an e-fax, so they faxed it to the Selco branch in Springfield. Technically, Selco Mortgage and Selco Credit union are separate identities and apparently, although they are housed in the same building, they can't transfer a fax from one to the other. My mortgage person has not received the letter and she is adamant that it has to be faxed to her direct number. Okay, seriously, get off your BUTT and go look for it. Mom and Dad will try to scan it and email it but I told her if she couldn't find it, it would have to wait until they returned on Tuesday (but it would actually be Wednesday). At this point, I would not recommend the Mortgage person but it may not be her fault. The whole system is a scrambled mess.
