Soulemama does this wonderful Friday blog post called This Moment (http://www.soulemama.com/soulemama/2012/10/this-moment-1.html), where she captures one magical photographed moment that she doesn't want to forget from the week. It's a wordless entry and she encourages others to share their moment with her. I would love to participate...but what does it mean that I rarely find a single moment that I can capture on camera that is "warm fuzzy" memorable? Although I love my dinner with Robert, Carrie and Jenna, and I love Tuesday nights with Trudi and Marian- they don't usually have theses kinds of moments. They are lovely weekly events that I treasure but they aren't warm fuzzy kinds of moments (usually). Part of it is that you can't capture the private and/or ribald jokes on camera; sometimes you capture laughter but I'd rather be laughing than taking a picture of laughter.

So, I guess the question is more, how do you capture those moments you treasure, when they are participatory rather than observational? Maybe this project is more appropriate for people who have children and want to chronicle that.

I think also, I need to adjust how I think about my life. There is a lot to treasure but I know I get so caught up in the frustrations of work and life that I take them for granted or fail to see them for what they are.

{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember.

If you're inspired to do the same, leave a link to your 'moment' in the comments for all to find and see.

One wasn't enough this week. It's not a gentle memory but it's important and it makes me smile, every time.
