Good and bad...

Tami is able to get up and walk to the Nursery every three hours to feed and cuddle Lillyana. Lillyana is unhooked and they are slowly unhooking Tami over the next few days. They are still worried about brain damage because they had to bag Lillyana for nine minutes after birth before she started breathing on her own. They are also worried about Tami's kidneys. She lost so much blood she went into acute renal failure. Her creatinine levels haven't come down yet but the swelling has so we are still hopeful.
On the financial front, the insurance has told Therin that they won't be paying for anything because they didn't go to the Vallejo hospital. Therin is pretty certain they both would have died if he had. He said, even if he'd know, he still would have taken them to NorthBay. He's got a fight ahead of him on that one.

Also, see if they can get a letter from the other hospital stating that they could not have provided the level of care needed to preserve the life and health of the mother and child.
If the insurance continues to be unresponsive, they may want to talk to an attorney. This kind of thing could haunt their credit rating for decades.
