April SkOTM...

This is my April Skirt of the Month.



Yep, it's a dress. But it's got a skirt on it so I'm calling it good. I cut this out a couple of weeks ago. Then while the prednisone high was on yesterday at 6:30 am I started sewing. By 10:00 I had a sewn dress that just needed hemming. I finished the hemming about 9:30 pm after having dinner with Robert and Carrie.

Thank you! I really like the way it turned out. It's one of the Khaliah Ali patterns from Simplicity (http://www.simplicity.com/p-1719-misses-plus-size-dresses.aspx). I modified it a bit because I wanted the V neck but the shorter sleeves.

I haven't worked with knit much but they suggested just using the surger and not doing the straight stitch and it worked marvelously.
