I love the hair combs that have beaded elastic between them but unless you can find a cute Indian store, it's hard to find colors other than black, white, or beige (I don't know why Indian stores, they are the only place I've found them). So I bought some beads, elastic and combs and I decided to try it out. It's not as neat as I'd like but it looks pretty good in use.

I'm assuming this is entirely a girl thing, because I don't see the point whatsoever, and couldn't imagine taking the time to actually install the jewelery into my hair.

To be honest, I can't even imagine how that is put on a head! I live in Montana, and hair accessories like that are pretty uncommon, and usually only show up on college kids that come from out of state. I'm glad I'm a guy and only (occasionally) have to worry about if my hair is messy or not.

When you have waist length hair you need a way to get it pinned back. These two combs with the elastic will hold all of it on my head with very little other support. You put one comb in the hair, stretch the elastic out to put the second comb in- the elastic keeps the combs from sliding out.

That sounds way to complicated for hair. If I suddenly had that problem, I'd be snip-snippin' it away faster than...well, a very fast thing!

I was thinking it was one of those things you have to weave into your hair, but obviously I was wrong. Even so, I don't think I'd ever want to pour more than ten seconds of my day into my hair. I'm a fan of simplicity and quick.

Hair is long for religious reasons so cutting it isn't an option. this actually simplifies putting my hair up quite a bit. It's a lot easier than it looks. ;>)

Ah, religion...bane #2 of my existence, preceded by politics. My political stance is athiest (I don't believe in politics, so I joke, where as religion I'm merely agnostic. No one really argues with the agnostic ones, so long as I -might- believe in such and such religion rather than flat out believing its wrong.

What religion?

Also two topics I tend to avoid in general conversation. I'm non-denominational christian, since you asked. I'll post a picture of the comb in use so you can see how it's used.

Ha ha, good! The world would be a much different place (and arguably better) if these things were never talked about unless asked! I cannot stand political debates whatsoever, and religious arguments go nowhere, ever.

I love it!

I just finally found a pack of two of the combs, and yes, black & beige...I was wondering if you had tried making any yet, and here I look and you have. They seriously look so much better with your hair because your hair is so thick, but I did find a little hairpiece that looks similar to my hair, and with the combs, you cannot tell it isn't my hair. Actually I have quite a long piece of my own hair before my chemo and I was investigating how to weft it together into a usable piece. Were these beads from the beads you got last year?

Very cool! I've thought of trying one of those now that I can get my hand behind my head again.

I had short hair once, I found it harder to maintain than long. Constant brushing during the day to neaten it, constant trimming to keep it short- ugh. I can put long hair up in about 45 seconds and then I don't have to touch it again until bed. I may be the only human alive too lazy for short hair!

See you for jelly tonight! I don't have patients so I should be done one time!
