Basically, today, if I could trip over it, knock it off, or drop it, I did.

The skirt did not want to play nice and took far longer than it was probably prudent to spend on it today. By the time I finished, I had two hours to pack clothes and food and get out of the house at what I considered a reasonable time. It took 2.5 hours and the garden didn't get water at all. I couldn't run the sprinklers and I didn't have time to play the bucket brigade. I thought about coming home Friday to water but that's not possible now (more about why shortly).

I finally got out out of the house and on the road south to Saginaw. I thought the car sounded a little growl-ly but all guages indicated normal function so I figured it was just the fact that I had no music on. I arrived and parked by the trailer while I unloaded. Then I drove the car up to the kitchen to unload the box of zucchini bread. When I came back out, the car utterly refused to start. It would spin but not fire. I left it there until after meeting. Then someone volunteered to try to jump it. After 1.5 hours, we determined that was not going to be successful. Three different people looked at the car but nothing we could do would start it. I texted Deedra, my mechanics wife, and she felt I needed to just have it towed into the shop. Either fuel or fire is not getting where it needs to be and I can't fix that here.

Of course, I don't have towing insurance. Someone here offered their AAA and I'll see if I can take him up on that in the morning.

If it 'taint chickens, it's feathers! *sigh*

But I am declaring victory on the skirt. The pattern had a very illogical error with the ties (it's a wrap skirt, if you put ties at either end of the waistband, at what point do they ever meet?) so I put buttons on it tonight and I think it looks good.
