Today I have been working on:
- Fall term hiring and ironing out wrinkles with Summer term.
- I've been trying to sort out a $100,000 furniture order that is over budget but necessary- it's in four parts- 3 floors and then separated out between contract and non-contract (must go out to bid) furniture.
- I've been trying to sort out the media order for the two new classrooms (there are limitations in gabled roofed rooms), and the additions to the other classroom.
- I've attended the weekly construction meeting and need to follow up on several things.
- Not least of all I am working on building an entire, new electronic assessments system for the college, one program at a time, using a new, to me, software and the first program has to be ready to go live Fall term.
- And now the President of the University wants some really detailed information about the quality of the students that graduate from the licensure programs. There aren't any directions, he just wants data driven proof that we produce good quality teachers to respond to NCTQ's skewed report. And of course it's necessary NOW.
