Today...

Today was the all day crop for Creative Memories. Mom and I went together and as always enjoyed each other's company, even if we did keep knocking things off the table. We both bring so much stuff it's hard to keep it confined to our small table space. I got 22 12 x 12 pages done in 8 hours. It doesn't seem like a lot but it adds up. I'm working on the kids albums and just got to January 1 of 1999. I spent a lot of this last week hunting for and organizing pictures so that they were in order. I've laid out three years worth of pictures onto pages so it's a matter of figuring out the layout and matting. I still find a few pictures here and there that are out of order. That always makes things fun.

I really love to scrapbook but I never have time...because it takes me at least an hour to get organized and set up and by that time, I used all the precious time I had. I haven't had a permanent place to put my scrapbooking stuff- there is only one table in my house. However, when I got home I put some time into cleaning it off, reorganizing and now I have a surface on which to work (as long as I quit piling the mail there!) I haven't unloaded my car yet and the rest of my house is far from clean but when you reorganize, everything is worse before it's better. There are piles of purged items hanging out in various places waiting for me to sweep through with a garbage bag. There is still a lot of work to do and I don't know when I'm going to get it done, but I'm going to keep at it. Besides, if I end up buying a house, I'm going to want to clean and purge anyway; I'm just getting a head start.

But now, it's time to stop and head for bed. Morning will come sooner than I'd like.
