House hunting...
Apr. 19th, 2012 10:26 amMike O'Connell, the realtor from ReMax got back to me yesterday with a list of potential houses. I'm learning a lot from various sources. Like not to restrict myself to $115 and under. I can always lowball an offer, they can accept or not. I am not, however, allowing myself to get excited about any particular property.
Here is the list: The first three houses are in Harrisburg. There are two reasons I don't want to buy in Harrisburg: the first and most important is that property values are dropping rapidly. The second is, it's even smaller than JC with no amenities and I don't want to live there. The Realtor is not recommending any of those properties, although they are probably the cutest of the lot.
The last two are well above my price range but it's possible they could accept a lowball offer.
The house on Crona, is a foreclosure, which puts it in a nice price range, but it's also in a flood plane and requires flood insurance, which could be expensive and could mean that I face damages on a regular basis.
I figure I'll go look at all of the JC houses. Some look a little rougher than others but I'll look. I need to make a list of my requirements vs preferences first though.
The adventure continues! Onward!
