There really isn't much. I worked on my Krista Tee while camping. I've gotten to the arm bind off and almost to the neck bind off on the back. It's easy knitting although I had to tear out several rows when I missed an "each".
I bought four new books:
Knit. Sock. Love by Cookie A. (
Rav Link)
Around the World in Knitted Socks: 26 Inspired Designs by Stephanie van der Linden (
Rav Link)
The Enchanted Sole by Janel Laidman(
Rav Link)
Socksplosion eBook by Kerin Dimeler- Laurence
I have one of Cookie A's other books and her socks are always very intricate with traveling and twisted stitches
Stephanie van der Linden's book has a lot of color work and some lace socks and she has many free patterns on ravelry as well.
I want Janel Laidman's other book- The Eclectic sole but it doesn't appear to be available.
I'm also getting a
prayer shawl book- there was only one pattern that I really wanted but the book was only $5.97 so I figured it was worth it for one pattern (it's the one on the cover). Many cost far more than that.
I'm also getting some pink yarn for a shawl for myself. I haven't decided on the shawl but I ordered three skeins of KnitPicks
Alpaca Cloud Lace in Blossom Heather. 1320 yards should give me enough to make almost anything I could want. For some reason I've really been coveting a pink shawl.
Knitting is probably going to take a back seat to sewing for the next couple of weeks while I try to get some new clothes sewn for convention. I don't have much time so I probably won't get as much done this year as last. I didn't take all week off before convention this year because of the camping trip so I won't have that time to sew. It's ok though, I've bought some new skirts recently anyway and it's not like I suffer from a shortfall in my closet. I'm a self confessed clothes horse.
