Prezzies!

I got my birthday gift(s) from Mom and Dad today. Mom bought me the Knitted Lace of Estonia Book by Nancy Bush. It has some beautiful patterns in it but oh my heavens...NUPPS! I got a handful of knitting notions, including two set of KP harmony circulars and I got three skeins each of Alpaca cloud in Tango (100% baby alpaca) and KP Bare (70% merino wool 30% silk). It's about 1320 yards of each; enough to make a nice shawl or wrap. It was full of WIN!

I also got my cashmere yesterday. It's slightly more orange than I'd hoped but still a lovely color and I look forward to playing with it. It was fun just to sit and stroke it. ;>)

I discovered today that metal needles and bamboo yarn are a recipe for disaster. I ripped out the sock I was working on (after the needles had slipped out several times) and waited until I could get to my harmony needles. It was quite frustrating. Now I have all this lace weight yarn and a bazillon skeins of sock yarn and I have to decide what to knit next.
