Meat candy....
Feb. 6th, 2012 08:27 pmThere is meat candy (otherwise known as jerky) in the dehydrator. I followed Marian's recipe. "glug, glug, glug, plop, plop...plop, plop, plop, plop."
The ingredients are meat (I bought the cheapest roast I could find but ended up losing half to fat so I might have bought a slightly more expensive cut) sliced about 1/4 inch thin, soy sauce, ginger, and garlic. I marinated it for about 48 hours. One important note...when buying a roast, consider how much space it's going to take up sliced up into 1/4 inch slices and make sure you have that much space in your dehydrator.
My house smells, a lot! It's almost overwhelming.
