Successes!

My little changes seem to be working.  I worked out all five workday mornings last week and got in an extra workout on Thursday evening with my mom.  Even today, when my feet and ankles are still pretty sore, I did a workout but not at full capacity.  I need to do it this way because if I get out of the habit of getting up to do it, even one day, it becomes easy to do it another day, and another, and pretty soon I'm not doing it at all.

Saturday I didn't need a workout because, with the effort of the feast I walked over 15,000 steps and was foot sore and exhausted by the time we finished.  It was a very successful event in all ways that I could tell.  I'll post pictures in another post.  We were too busy to take many pictures after lunch though.

Sunday was a rest day and I did.  I took a nap at about 1:30 and woke up at 6:00.  It was a little difficult to get to bed last night because of the long nap.  I did shut down Netflix at 9:00 but puttered around the house for another hour and then I was another hour winding down in my bedroom.

I took the leftover pear juice (the pears for the custard on saturday had to be strained to remove some juice and I had two large crockpots full of pear juice and pulp) added some allspice, cinnamon, and clove and poured it into dehydrator trays to make fruit leather.  I only have 5 fruit leather trays so I used most of one crockpot but the other is full to bursting.  I spiced it and set it on warm to meld the flavors.  I have a lot of fruit leftovers from the event and most of the fruit came from my supplies anyway so I think there is going to be a lot of fruit leather in my future.
