I have a dilemma. On June 21st I will turn 40 and I think this is an achievement worth celebrating! However, the how is a little problematic. First, I'd have to ask my parents to change their normal plans of being in Boise with the grand kids and my sister and BIL. My sister offered to throw a party if I came with them and I love the sentiment but my friends are mostly here. Second, who do I invite? I have some rather distinct groups of friends: SCA friends, church friends, a few assorted work friends, and then my rather large extended family. I want everyone to celebrate with me but I suspect some of those groups would have wildly different expectations for a party. Third, I really don't like being the center of attention and I'm really afraid that people won't come and I'll be disappointed. Which makes me want to take the safer route and just forget it- the birthday and the party. Anyone have suggestions?

Panic attack...go away I don't have time for you. Today's roster is full enough:
1. Finish report for state or face $27000 fine for college,
2. Do a cost analysis of cancelled program to see how much it will cost or save to not admit students this year.
3. Attend meeting with big wigs regarding the degrees that are or are not offered at Cascades campus (we say they are, grad school says they aren't)
4. TaskStream presentation for University supervisors and again for Cooperating teachers.
5. Collect test scores
6. Download gift vouchers for thank you notes.
7. Work on update of PD for faculty member.
8. Deal with other HR and finance issues as they arise.

Ugh, no wonder.
