Halloween....

Norse-ish hair, silk t-tunics (the outer one is actually purple but it's really hard to tell), Persian pants (also silk) and under tunic, 16th century style boots, and a backwards Obi. Hmmm...I was aiming for semi-Persian or semi-Moorish. Mostly people thought I was a pirate. I had one interesting discovery...wearing the sash makes my hips hurt. I love the way the pants, tunic, and boots feel. I felt confident and "swishy". I think I probably even had a bit of a swagger.
I was obsessing a bit about how I didn't have anything that was pretty and historically accurate to wear. I realize that I need to work on that for SCA stuff but for Halloween? Who cared but me? Hence the construct.
I bought Halloween candy on the way home from work since it was payday and I finally had funds again. Unfortunately, no ghosties or ghoulies showed up. I think the motion sensor porch light was a deterrent because it didn't look like it was on. However, we don't really have a lot of kids in our neighborhood and I didn't get home until after 6. It all probably just added up to equal no trick-or-treaters. I still had a nice night. I sat and watched episodes of MASH while I knitted and had an early bed time. Supper might have been a nice addition but I had a couple of snacks (can we say Cheetos?). I hate cooking for myself and I need to go grocery shopping. I contemplated going out to eat but decided not to wander away on Halloween. It turns out no one would have missed me but that's OK I probably wouldn't have made it to bed so early if I'd gone out.
I've actually been in bed the last two nights before I remembered to do my blessings and challenges posts but I still remembered. I'm aiming to make sure I do this for 30 days to help refocus my energy on positive things.
