At some point on Saturday in the wee hours, a spam bot found an outdated webform at work...one that sends the form to my email address. When I got up on Saturday morning, I had 13,000 emails. I believe I had fewer than 100 when I left work on Friday. Since I was fighting a nasty cold, I sent an email to my tech support, and disconnected the account from my phone so I didn't have to deal with it until this morning. Since all of the emails came through on Saturday and there have been none since, maybe the tech support was able to shut it down. However, this morning, I'm stuck manually deleting 12,900 emails. I can do them in batches but can't exceed a certain amount with out causing errors.
It's a pain but it's not the end of the world. In fact, nothing is the end of the world, not even all the things I was upset about last posting. It's all about perspective. I'm disappointed and frustrated, yes, but it's not even close to the end of all things. ;>)
