Working towards a solution
Jan. 29th, 2013 01:12 pmThe Master installer for James Heating and Air is coming tonight about 4:45 to evaluate my house for the ductless heat pump. If we agree that it is a good solution, they will install on the 7th of February.
The heat in the dining room did come down after I threw the breakers, to my relief. I will talk to my dad about installing a new thermostat in there and the living room which didn't seem to be producing any heat at all. I may never need them again with the heat pump but they recommend having them in working order as back up in case the outside temperature drops below 20 degrees.
If we do go with the heat pump, I will need a couple of strong men to help me remove the window AC units. They are simply too heavy for my dad and I to move. Currently, those units are also bolted or screwed into the window sills.
