Wow! What a weekend for productivity....

It was a long weekend but my house is ready for company (coming Friday night) after I clear the current project off the kitchen table, vacuum, and mop. I would like to hang the shelves in the sewing room too, so I can finish unpacking the box of glassware but if I don't get it done before Friday, I'll just move the box into the sewing room. It's the last box. The sewing room needs a little organization yet but since most of my company doesn't need to see the sewing room, that can wait a little longer. I'll get it organized the first time I need to sew or scrapbook in there.

Saturday I took delivery of my washer and dryer, installed said washer and dryer with dad's help (because the pigtail didn't match my outlet and the installers are not allowed to install to a different type of outlet or change the pigtail), hung pictures all over the house, hung curtains in the living room, broke down all the card board boxes in the garage (15-30), put shelves up in the garage and organized the space slightly, cleaned kitty litter boxes, patched walls after trying to hang things, painted the same wall patches, hung the full length mirror and the mirror over the desk in the spare room, returned all the things that didn't work, bought more stuff that did, washed the bed linen and made the spare bed, adding the electric blanket, cleaned some surfaces, put away tools, and finished the laundry. It took the better part of 2 hours to install and level the dryer but I'm happy to report that both appliances work very nicely.

Sunday evening, Mom and Dad came over and helped me install the vertical blinds over the patio doors and I hung the valance in the bathroom. I need to change out the valance in the utility room but that's not too urgent. Tonight, I'll hang the artwork in my bedroom and I'll be satisfied with the way my house looks.

I won't be going to 12th night. As much as I'd love to see everyone in all their splendor and at least two particular peerages...I have modern commitments. So I ask, nay beg, of you who are going, take lots and lots of pictures and post them where we can see them, PLEASE!
