A productive weekend, surprisingly....
Dec. 10th, 2012 10:17 amI have unpacked all the books that go on the shelving I currently own. I do need another bookshelf for the spare room where I will put the kids books and other over flow. The living room is organized but there is a pile of presents in the corner. I still need to figure out where the artwork will be going in the house; It, also, is still in a pile in the corner.

My winter village is decorating the top of the hutch and my piano top looks very pretty against the maroon wall.

I was able to replace the reflecting bowl for my torchiere light. It became a casualty in the move. This one doesn't cover the bulb all the way which is annoying but it's what was available. I also made a run to Costco on Saturday (yeah, Saturday isn't the recommended day to visit Costco), I stocked up on a few frozen foods and managed to get a few Christmas presents too.
Sunday, I had mom and dad over for lunch and then Mom and I put the leaf in the table and used it as a cutting board for some Christmas projects we are working on. Having a table that will work as a cutting table....makes me very happy.

(gratuitous picture of Simon making himself at home)
After our afternoon service, I finished putting up all the books and, as a bonus, all of them have been scanned into my library on GoodReads. Then I finished cutting fringe on one project and sat down to knot said fringe. At that point, Simon decided to be "helpful."

He's turned out to be a really cuddly kitty. Now that we've gotten through the setting up of the pecking order, he decided to sleep with me last night (previously the big kitties scared him away). He cuddled in next to my arm and stayed there all night. When I woke up I had three kitties snuggled up with me on the bed. I'm finally "home!"
