I catch the 10:51 pm train tonight. It seems like I just got here but I've been here long enough to get on my brother's nerves and him, slightly, on mine. So it's time to go. ;>)

I have had a great time with my SIL. I wish they lived closer, she could be a fantastic buddy to have around. Thursday when I got in, we came back to the house to unload, then went to Chipotle for lunch and then ran to Michael's, where we thought up a creative present to make for mom for mother's day. It involved sculpty and a picture frame. There will be a picture to go in it too. I'll show pictures after the day...just in case (I don't think either parent reads this but I've given them the address several times if they want to). After Michaels we did some grocery shopping and then came back to the house. Therin got home much earlier than expected so I was able to show them their wedding album and quit being antsy about it. They loved it, had a few suggestions and we had a lot of captioning to do. We had lasagna and french bread for dinner. YUM!

Friday, Therin took the day off and Tami worked until 11:00 so Therin and I bummed around the house. We had nice conversations. He was snuggled in bed when I got up, reading his book, so I went and sat on the bed and we talked for quite a while. We haven't done that since....I don't know if we ever have. I think it's more of a sister thing. About 10:00 Therin and I went to Tami's Starbucks and he got coffee. I'm still not convinced they have anything I can/want to drink but Tami keeps trying. *laughs* Tami was in the back doing the deposit so we didn't actually see her until she was done with her shift and little past schedule. Then we had lunch at a nice deli which specializes in beef sandwiches. I love beef, but not so much on sandwiches; so I had a turkey and swiss and it was quite nice. After lunch we brought the truck back to the house and took the car to go to the mall. I'd lost my hand lotion and wanted to get something for my hands. My cuticles were splitting and bleeding so it was necessary. Once I'd made my lotion purchases, Therin said he needed to get some dress shirts for convention. So we went to JC Penny's where big sister instigated a major shopping spree (but managed not to purchase or try on anything for herself!) Therin came home with 6-7 shirts, mostly casual dress but a couple button downs. Tami came home with 5 skirts and 7 shirts. Since both of them HATE to shop, this was a major deal and a bit of an ordeal. We played dress up with Tami..."here try this. What do you think of this....etc" She said a whole lot of "I don't know, I guess I can try it.....Oh wow I really like this!" I think I have her convinced of the value of trying new things in the dressing room. The current style with the sinched in bottom in shirts is not at all flattering to her (Me either but I think that's a given with my figure) and she's tall and very thin. So several shirts that were very cute on the hanger had to be discarded out of hand. In the end she tried on probably 4 times what she purchased but she then had to narrow down her yes pile by at least a third. We got the added bonus of hitting a fairly big sale and then finding out that there was a $10 coupon if you spent over $25. Now we spent a lot more than $25 so the cashiers separated our purchases into $25 increments and rang each one up separately, giving the $10 off coupon on each purchase. It made a huge difference and we ended up saving far more than we spent between the sale prices and the coupons. We then met Tami's parents for dinner on the North bay and had a great meal and good conversation. Since Tami has to be in bed by about 9:00 in order to get up for her 4 am shifts it was directly to bed after dinner.

Saturday, Tami got off work earlier and I'd just gotten out of the shower when she arrived home about 8:30 (My internal alarm woke me up faithfully by 7:00am and a little earlier every morning. This morning I'm back on my work schedule) We worked a little bit on the captioning for the scrapbook and then played with the sculpty and paint for a while. We went to Red Onion for lunch (wonderful hamburgers and a delightfully light triple chocolate mousse for dessert for me) and then ran to the Barnes and Noble and the BIGGEST Joann's I've ever seen. I still think they had a pretty lousy fabric selection but they had craft stuff coming out the rafters. We needed more white sculpty and a glue gun. I was hoping to find some #10 crochet thread but didn't like their color selection. (Michael's had a good selection so I'll check at home and see what's available; maybe Ben Franklin will have some too. I don't need it during this trip and I have to take everything back on the train.) We came home and finished our sculpty work and baked it. Then we played Rummikub for the rest of the night.

Sunday we went to meeting then to Tami's parent's place in Napa. We had hamburgers for lunch and then played Hearts until after 5:00. We came back to the house finished up our project visited a little and then to bed since they both had early starts this morning.

Currently, I'm here alone. I have a load of laundry that needs to be switched to the dryer and another load to put in but I want to shower first. When Tami gets home we are catching the ferry into SF to visit Therin's job site and to get some lunch. We'll catch a later ferry back then I'll have to get serious about getting ready to go. We are making black bean and turkey enchiladas for dinner.

So... I guess that means I've procrastinated enough and it's time to start the day.
