A week (or two) in review

Books that make you go Hmmmmmm.....

Have you ever read a book wherein you really liked the characters, the premise and the storyline but found the writing to be awful. It would seem that if you can get to know the main character at least then the writer is doing something right but I just finished reading a book that left me feeling like I was running to keep up. The plot moved too fast with no transitions and not much character development, except for the main character. It's going to have a sequel...I don't know whether to read it.
