Bleck!

Turns out this is a virus and a nasty one at that. I ran a fever of 101.2 yesterday. Throat is still sore and swollen. Chest is conjested; I'm coughing constantly. Stomach muscles hurt from coughing. My fever seems to have abated at least, thanks to Tylenol. I've had three cups of tea today. The latest was the tastiest- Wild Berry Zinger Tea, with honey of course. The doctor says I cannot go back to work until Thursday at the soonest. We'll see how I feel then. I may not be up to it even then.

Sitting or laying down all day has made my back sore so I did about 30 minutes of yoga to try to stretch out. It helped but I'm feeling really weak now.

Until today, I haven't really even felt like knitting. That takes some sickness! Today I'm only knitting in fits and starts while I watch national geographic programs on Netflix on my new 26 inch HD Monitor/TV. I wanted to get the TV out of my house but I still wanted to be able to watch my dvds, vhs and play on my Wii. Monitors don't generally have component jacks so I got this one which has to be set up to get a TV signal...which I won't do (There isn't one here anyway). It's considerably smaller than my 32 inch television but it's the largest that would fit in my hutch and it's HD so I hoped that would make up for it. I'm discovering that when the programming moves really fast, the television pixelates a lot. There are so many possible reasons that I can't even trouble shoot it. *sigh* I have to stream through my Wii which doesn't do HD so that could be why. It could be my signal. It could be the settings. Since the wiring here is very questionable, it's entirely possible that is the problem.

For now, I'm back to Big Cat Diary and my hot tea.
