Dental work...
Sep. 21st, 2010 11:16 amMy face became "un-numb" about 10:00 pm but I was left with a whopper of a headache. Today the right side has some puffiness that I can't really explain....There wasn't any trauma during my filling- it was simple, straight forward and only took about 20 minutes. But I also couldn't really explain the white patch that appeared on my cheek while it was numb either. The headache is still there, I just have subdued it with medication.
My dentist is reasonably good. I know that everyone reacts to the anesthetic differently and he was concerned because the tooth was really reactive when he prodded it with the explorer. So he might have been a little over zealous with the anesthetic or I may just be highly reactive to it. Either way it was miserable. The numbness got to a point where it just hurt but there isn't anything anyone can do but let it wear off. I went to bed shortly after 10:00 to sleep off the headache and general achy-ness of my face.
