I got my Kindle today and downloaded a few new books (Not too many, it adds up)! I was able to get two technical books for work- on their dime- and I got seven new mysteries. I know I can upload my PDF's from my computer and someone reminded me that many online knitting patterns are PDF's. That will be fun. Now I have to figure out how it interfaces with the computer. Can I back up my books there or do I have to use the Whispernet which charges a fee? It's a little heavier than I'd usually prefer but it's SOOOOooo compact. I won't have to carry a huge bag(s) of books when I go on vacation. NEW TOY! YEAY!

I fell down and went boom! And a whole lot of ouch and I'm hoping tomorrow isn't worse.
I had my hands full and stepped off the curb to unlock my car. When I stepped back to try to step back up on the curb I caught my heel in my skirt and with the other foot wedged against the curb and my hands completely full, the only way to go was down and back. I landed hard on my left hip and elbow. Skinned my elbow a bit but I'm more worried about the hip since I've been having a lot of trouble with the SI joint and hips for the last few months. We'll hope that instead of trauma it knocked everything back to right. Ummm...Yeah, sure....
