I finished Andrea's socks
Feb. 11th, 2009 10:44 amMy cousin Andrea's feet are awfully cold so I decided to make her a pair of warm anklets to warm them up. Because of her Rheumatoid arthritis, her ankle bones are a bit deformed and the rest of her bones are tiny. Therefore, the socks have to have an interesting shape. Above the ankle her measurement is 7.5 inches, her foot is 8 inches around and 9.5 inches in length. Around the thickest part (at the gusset) is 12 inches. I’m casting on 48 and decreasing the gusset to 52 to accommodate the larger foot measurement. To accommodate the wider ankle I’m knitting 5 rows before I start the gusset decreases. They look ok. I hope they will fit since I haven't been able to do a fitting.
