Everyone ok?

That was quite a little storm; Is everyone ok? I had a tree come down on my apartment complex but it didn't seem to do much damage, it came down, hit the roof and slid down the side. It was right over my bedroom but there is another apartment above me. The scraping down the side was loud and a bit scary.

I found route to work (99E) but 99W and Peoria Rd were closed. There were several trees down across power lines on 99E. It looked like they'd been out to cut the trees off the roads but not off the lines and they obviously hadn't been repaired. Mom said there was an explosion on one of the power lines near Grandma's house and it burned for quite a while. Dad says the house is fine and we didn't lose any trees. He's going to go check on other people, especially our older acquaintances.

We have power at the university but that's about as far north as it appears to be. The next road over is out. It's spotty though. I'm glad we have power; otherwise we'd be at work, sitting in the dark, because we have to be here.
