And I'm off
Aug. 11th, 2006 06:27 amI'm off on my marathon weekend. At 9:00 am I catch a train to Seattle. It arrives in Seattle at 3:55 after a 40 minute layover in Portland. I believe CT is picking me up. Then CG's shower starts at 6:30. In the AM. KH and I are headed back to Portland for Bows and Blades. Neither of us are preregistered so I don't know if we will be able to take any of the classes. If not, KH indicated a trip to Powells might be in order. DB is my ride home. He is teaching classes until 6:00 so we won't leave very early. He will drop me off at home. At which point, I'll have to figure out where my car is. Mom and Dad are supposed to pick it up from the train station and bring it back to the house but with Scandi fest going on, there is no guarantee they'll be able to park it there. I may have to walk across town to a friend of the family's house to pick it up.
Sunday, I think Mom and Dad, Grandma,my sister and the kids may come over for lunch and a visit to the festival. That will be around noon and I will have to get the house cleaned before their arrival. You know,I'm really looking forward to a weekend, with no obligations, to be able to sleep in. I think I'm going to work to recover from my weekends. I'd love to get some sewing done.
For now, I have to get myself in gear so I can get to the train station. I hope there are no delays- I don't have much time for a cushion. (AB at work was telling me his horror stories of train delays but mostly those seem to happen in the winter.)
