Cinderelly

"Cinderelly, cinderelly, night and day it's cinderelly, fix the fire, do the laundry, do the dishes, CINDERELLA!"

I've been sweeping and mopping floors most of the day today. Our facilities services hasn't swept or mopped our stairs in weeks and someone managed to spill coffee or some other sticky drink the full length of 4 flights on both sides of the building. That must take talent. Topped with the normal accumulation of dirt and dust, they were just nasty. We are interviewing candidates for a faculty position this week and the filth just gives the wrong impression. So I swept one stair well and mopped both from top to bottom (Someone else volunteered to sweep the second stairwell before I mopped it). Then when we went to set up the lunch buffet we noticed that floor was also filthy and so I swept and mopped it as well. I've got a wet noodle for an arm now.

The associate dean and I sent a nastygram to facilities but I'm not certain how much good it will do. They sent someone out to look at the bathrooms but I don't think they did anything beyond that. I know they are understaffed but it seems so lazy.

At least I got some exercise. *laugh* I've been trying to do that daily anyway. Maybe I don't need my walk today? *sigh* I probably should anyway. It will help me unwind after work. I really want to lose some weight before the wedding and, since I'm not eating the best, exercise is a necessity. The sad part is that, even though I had to order an 18, even if I lose weight, I couldn't get away with a smaller size because of my bust. It doesn't go away no matter what I do. (Not that I'm really complaining) It does make it difficult to find dresses that don't just hang like a gunnysack from my chest down.

The weekend was decent, although I was disappointed and thinking about coronation most of it. I discovered that vacuuming is harmful to my feet. I ran the vacuum into the top of my foot and it looks like a rabbit bit me. It bleed like crazy too. *rolling eyes* The girls at work said I shouldn't vacuum barefoot. Why? I don't generally wear shoes in the house. I worked on my Christmas projects most of the day Saturday and then cleaned house and played my game on Sunday afternoon. It was relaxing anyway.

It sounds like we have a wet noodle kind of meeting this afternoon. We've been having difficulty with communication as an administrative staff and L. has arranged a meeting to discuss some "issues". Oh dear. I so don't want to be in trouble again.
