Cheese oddities....

hlmaueraI purchased a tiny piece of Molltaler Alumkase Austrian Cheese at Market of Choice last week. It's not my favorite cheese but it tastes ok. However, if you take a sip of water after eating the cheese it creates a horrible aftertaste. It's bizarre! Does anyone know why that might happen?
