Helix decided to unthread my surger and eat several yards of thread.  This lead to the accordioning of his entire GI tract. The thread also caused lacerations that caused leaking bowels and the end result was $1600 worth of surgery on Friday.  I'll be paying off that for a while.  However, he only gets one shot at this.  I don't have that kind of money to throw around.  Generally the sewing room is closed off but I was moving furniture so the door was open last weekend.

He's rather forlorn about this whole thing (and who can blame him).  And on top of that Simon has decided he's a complete stranger and is hissing and growling at him.  Then you add the E-collar...poor kitty.  I actually caught him using the e-collar to scoop kibble out of his dish and dump it on the floor so he could eat it.  Otherwise, he couldn't seem to figure out how to get close enough to eat.  I turned it around which has the added advantage of keeping him from jumping.
